The First Youth
Immigration Settlement Programs
Settlement Programs are dedicated to supporting immigrants as they adapt to life in Canada. We host a variety of events and provide crucial information on accessing language training, job placement assistance, cultural orientation, and legal support. Additionally, we place a strong emphasis on helping youth secure and maintain stable housing, with a particular focus on low-income families, newcomers, the homeless, and those impacted by economic slowdown . Through these comprehensive initiatives, we aim to facilitate the successful integration of newcomers and provide essential support to youth in their new communities.
Youth Employment Programs
youth employment programs empower young individuals with the skills, experience, and opportunities needed for a successful start in the workforce. Through job readiness training, career exploration, and skill development, we prepare participants for meaningful employment. Weekly workshops focus on resume writing, online job searches, and interview preparation. Career counseling and job shadowing offer insights into diverse industries, while partnerships with local businesses provide job placement opportunities. These resources help youth transition smoothly into the workforce and achieve their career goals.
Youth Entertainment Programs
youth entertainment programs offer engaging and enriching activities that nurture creativity, social connections, and personal growth. From creative arts events showcasing talents in music, theater, dance, and visual arts to community service projects that foster responsibility and civic engagement, these programs provide a platform for youth to express themselves and build confidence. By blending recreational and educational opportunities, we promote well-rounded development and create a supportive environment where young people can thrive and contribute positively to their communities.

Youth Settlement Services
Our Youth Settlement Services program is designed to help newcomer children and youth feel at home in Canada. We know how important it is for young people to find their place in a new community and build the connections they need to thrive.
We run couple events as part of this program.
Our Children and Youth Settlement Services events involve artistic and recreational activities, giving young people the opportunity to integrate and meet peers in a relaxed setting. There is also a focus on developing new skills and knowledge, like improving conversational English, learning about Toronto and preparing for further education or employment. Our mentors can also provide help with homework.
Youth Employment Skills Strategy
Our Youth Employment Skills Program equips young people with the tools and connections needed to find a placement in their chosen field. You’ll start off by taking part in pre-employment workshops, which cover topics like job searching tactics, optimizing your LinkedIn profile, cold calling, accessing the hidden job market, resume and cover letter writing and interview techniques. These take place one-to-one, as part of a group session or on Zoom.
After taking part in these workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a program worker who can help you find employment opportunities. We’ll make the most of our connections with employers to give you a great start on your career journey.
